Background

The USA is Britain's largest single export market, taking $57bn of UK goods in 2008 and the UK is the sixth biggest exporter to the US, after Canada, Mexico, Japan, China and Germany.

Building on the very successful USA Meet the Buyer event held in the UK in November 2009, UK Trade & Investment, UKTI Defence & Security Organisation (DSO) and the Security Innovation & Technology Consortium (SITC), are running a Market Visit to Washington DC.  This visit provides a unique opportunity to develop and create relationships with leading US Homeland Security companies and will give you the opportunity to participate in a key US Homeland Security Conference and meetings with the NSA and other federal agencies.

Registration

The deadline for registration is Wednesday 12 May 2010.

There will be an administration cost of £225 payable on booking.

Estimated travel costs are from £1400 including economy return flights and five hotel nights (depending on availability). 

UKTI recommends that companies regestering should also take up their Overseas Market Information Service (OMIS) which funds UKTI to set up a tailored programme of meetings with relevant federal agencies.
