Bob Rose is Director Public Security for the Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers (APPSS), a Trade Association with over 300 members supplying products and services to government agencies and contractors in police, and public security markets worldwide. He is also a Director of t the Security Innovation and Technology Consortium (SITC).
Before joining APPSS, Bob was a Chief Superintendent with Hampshire Police where he was Head of the Operations. He ran the Operational Command Unit which included responsibility for civil contingencies planning, critical incident response, roads policing, air support, marine support, tactical firearms, dog support and force support units.
SITC Board Re-Election Statement (March 2009)
Bob believes that SITC will provide the opportunity for its members to use their innovations and high technology skills to assist the UK Security Industry in articulating and identifying technical problems. This will bring together companies/stakeholders with SME’s to then provide high tech solutions to the identified problems.
If re-elected to serve as a director, Bob will commit himself to helping the SITC team in achieving their vision and to guide the team and members with regard to any Trade Association guidelines sought.
